There Goes Summer. Will You Meet or Exceed Your 2023 Goals

As the owner of DLM Bookkeeping Solutions, I find myself at the midpoint of 2023 thinking about what I’ve accomplished so far and contemplating whether I will meet my goals for this year. Indeed, 2023 has been a year filled with challenges, but it has also presented me with unique opportunities for growth and adaptation.

Can you relate?:

Setting the Stage

At the beginning of 2023, I created a series of ambitious goals to propel my business forward. These objectives revolved around expanding my market presence, doing more networking, and enhancing my personal brand.

Navigating Unforeseen Challenges

2023 proved to be very busy as my enhanced visibility brought new clients to my door, but with these clients came the need to effectively juggle my life-work balance. As a Mom of two busy children with activities and social lives that rival most adults, I found that being an early riser was my saving grace, affording me the time to execute work before the rest of the house was up.

The Power of Adaptation

While I am still at the helm for all the mission-critical aspects of my business, I have found it extremely helpful to outsource some of the things that others can do more effectively than I can, freeing up time for the things that only I can do.

Monitoring and Adjustment

Throughout the year, I have closely monitored my progress toward our 2023 goals. I do this for my clients, and it would certainly be unacceptable for me to let my own goals slip Of course I look at the financial aspects of the business, but I also address and adjust other components as well, such as marketing, social media, and operations.

I’m optimistic about my ability to achieve my goals. I’ve discovered strength in my adaptability and resilience and though the days can be long, I am willing to put in the time as I build for the future.

I’ve learned some hard lessons and eagerly anticipate what lies ahead for 2024.

How about you?
